Jennifer Rene Psaki
Jennifer Rene Psaki is an American political advisor who worked as the 34th White House press secretary from 2021 until 2022. A member of the Democratic Party she has previously been a part of the Obama administration as White House deputy press secretary (2009), White House assistant director of communications (2009–2011), the spokesperson of the Department of State(2013-2015) and White House communication director (2015–2017). Psaki was a contributor to CNN's political coverage from 2017 through 2020. Psaki began her career in 2001 when she worked on the re-election campaigns for Iowa Democrats Tom Harkin for the U.S. Senate and Tom Vilsack for governor. Psaki was appointed John Kerry's press secretary deputy in 2004. Psaki was also the communications director for Joseph Crowley, a U.S. Representative, as well as the regional press secretary for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee from 2005 to 2006. Psaki was the press secretary to President Obama's 2012 reelection campaigns. [20] Psaki became the spokesperson for United States Department of State. She was hired at the Department of State to fill the White House Press Secretary Jay Carney's position.[21] But, Josh Earnest took his place on May 30,2014. The White House welcomed her back to the White House in 2015 as the director of communications. she remained there until the closing of the Obama presidency.
